2005 Inductee - Jeremy Hauer, Alleman Catholic High School

Jeremy Hauer was a member of the Quad City Hitmen for 6 years. Graduating the program as a 14-year old, Jeremy helped lead his team to a final season record of 60-11. Over the six years of competing throughout the Midwest, Jeremy and his Hitmen teammates captured over 26 first place titles. His dedication and commitment to Hitmen Baseball made Jeremy Hauer the first recipient of the Mel Blaser Competitive Edge Award.

Jeremy attends Alleman High School where he is an Honor Roll student and member of the Principal's List for receiving straight A's and a 4.0 GPA. For his academic excellence, Jeremy has been the recipient of the Reverend John O'Connor Scholar award presented by the faculty and staff at Alleman High School.

Jeremy is a Student Ambassador and devoted volunteer to the Quad Cities Student Hunger Drive. He was selected to be a member of the Alleman Homecoming Court, is a Senior Retreat Leader, and nominee for the Westen Big Six Don Morris award presented to the most outstanding student/athlete in the Quad Cities.

A 3-sport star for the Pioneers, Jeremy has received many prestigious awards and honors during his 4-year career. As a baseball player, Jeremy is a 3-year varsity letter winner and Team Captain during his junior and senior seasons. Last season he received the teams Co-Most Valuable Player award and the Bob DeDoncker Award. As a sophomore and junior, Jeremy received First Team Western Big Six All-Conference recognition and First Team All Metro Baseball honors as selected by the coaches and news writers of the Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus. He was the Most Valuable Player in the 6th annual Central Illinois Baseball Showcase and member of the Illinois High School Coaches Association All Western Illinois team. During the summer, he is a member on the Rock Island Legion Post #200 team.

Jeremy is also the Captain of the Alleman Basketball Team where he received the Free Throw Award, the 6th Man award, and the very prestigious Father Mirabelli "Touch of Class" Award. He helped lead the Pioneer cagers to 2 Regional Championships, a Sectional title, and a Sweet 16 finish. Jeremy is a member of the Western Big Six Academic All Conference Team and the only graduating senior to play in all 65 Varsity games.

Jeremy was a Defensive Back and back up QB on the gridiron, and Captain of the Pioneer football team. He was the recipient of the Alleman High School Joe Seroka Award and garnered Western Big Six Academic All Conference honors. Jeremy received First Team All Western Big Six Defense recognition his junior and senior seasons, and Second Team WB6 Offense recognition. He was also honored with First Team All Metro honors his junior and senior seasons. He helped lead the Pioneers to 2 consecutive 10-2 seasons and two Western Big Six titles.
