Quad City Hitmen Baseball Hall of Fame
2006 Inductee - 1999 U11 Quad City
Hitmen Team
As 11 year olds, this team played in the 12U Bronco League capping 54 wins and only 7 losses. Only 2 of these losses were to 11 year old teams with the rest going to their 12 year old opponents.
They played in 6 tournaments that summer bringing home the Championship Trophy from three 11 year old tournaments--the Cedar Rapids Cougar Classic, the Cedar Rapids CABA Swing into Spring, the Quad City Hitmen 4th of July Classic and a 12U Iowa Tournament of Champions in Indianola, Iowa.
The 12 young men, their 3 coaches and families traveled to Overland Park, Kansas in July, 1999 entered into the 11U USSSA "AAA" National Tournament. They played their final game of the season against a team from Chino, CA, the Chino Red Dogs. These 12 players won 10 games in that week long tournament and recognized a great accomplishment by going undefeated and earning the title of "National Champions".

This team also brought home National Tournament finishes of 4th place as 10 yr olds, 5th place as 12 & 13 yr olds. & 2nd place as 14's.
