Tyson Blaser



Parents - Susan & Mel Blaser of Taylor Ridge. An older brother - Tucker Blaser.

Tyson is 18. He played with the Quad City Hitmen from 1996 (8U) through 2002 (14U). Tyson participated in 7 National Tournaments while with the Hitmen. From 1998 through 2002 we finished 4th, 1st, 5th, 5th & 2nd in consecutive years.

Tyson was voted the MVP of the 1999 USSSA National Tournament. He also made the National Tournament All Tournament Team in 2000, 2001, & 2002.

Tyson was selected as the Quad City Hitmen Player of the Year in 2001.

In the Spring of 2003 Tyson helped the Rockridge High School Baseball team reach State for the 1st time ever.

Tyson was inducted into the Quad City Hitmen Hall of Fame in April 2005.

Tyson has been selected 1st team All Conference and All Area in Baseball his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years.

Last year, as a Junior, Tyson was selected to the 1st Team Class A Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association All State Baseball Team.

As a Sophomore and a Junior Tyson was selected as a finalist for Athlete of the Year by the The Quad City Times Salute to Sports.

Tyson has been a 3 sport standout throughout his High School career and has still maintained an excellent grade point average. He has achieved Academic All Conference status each year. He is a member of the National Honor Society at Rockridge High School.

Tyson is currently a member of the Rockridge Rockets High School Baseball team and will be attending the University of Iowa in the fall on a Baseball Scholarship. He will be majoring in Education.

Most important of all Tyson is a good kid with a big smile and a great heart.
